Jay Halteman

Jay Halteman started in the industry building wall panels at Imperial Components in 1972 as a summer job. Jay has worked in industry related sales since 1988 when he co-founded the company with his father, Bob. As President of the company he is responsible for management and administrative functions; he is also one of three sales reps. Jay resides in Muncie with his wife Cathy, and they enjoy family time with their children, spouses, and three grandsons. A bit of a road-racing fan, he continues to amaze those around him with an almost clean driving record.

Jim Mavrakes 

Jim Mavrakes has been involved in construction since college when he worked his way through school as a draftsman. After earning his Bachelor of Architecture degree from New Jersey Institute of Technology, he began his technical sales career. Jim first came to the wood component industry as a specialty product sales manager for Truswal Systems in 1993 and has continued with various companies, most recently as an engineering software, connector plate, and machinery specialists. Much of his free time is squandered playing competitive softball or weight training, but he also teaches personal finance through his local church. Jim resides in the friendly Texas suburb of Arlington.

Cathy Halteman

Cathy Halteman, the den mother of Wood Truss Systems, is responsible on a part-time basis for accounting and administrative duties (strong-arm collections). Formerly with one of the world’s largest corporations she decided in a weak moment to try the small corporate world which she mastered in about 25 minutes. She is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Indiana University School of Business. Married to Jay (which may qualify her for sainthood), she is a mother of two and enjoys spoiling her three grandsons.

Bob Halteman

Bob Halteman started framing houses for his father when he was 20 years old. His first truss experience was in 1954 with on-site truss fabrication using Teco Split-Rings. Bob, semi-retired in 2002, has sold for such industry icons as Andersen Windows, Scholz Homes, Imperial Components, Alpine Eng. Products, Truswal, and the Koskovich Co. He’s a sports car fan, an EAA (Exp. Aircraft) member, and pretty darn handy with an ironing board and iron (at the direction of his wife of 58 years Carolyn); together they reside in Fishers, Indiana.
